Reflections of the Rising Sun

I have been home for a few weeks, the realisation that the trip is over and no one is coming to sweep me away again has kind of hit me and that means its time to unpack, do some washing and sit and reminisce about the trip that was, the things that wasn't (I know that should be weren't but it didn't sound as good ok Grammar Nazis) and what I have gained from it. So lets get started

Finally Unpacking

The things that I have learnt whilst being away

Travelling with people is HARD - I may possibly be an incredibly selfish person, and maybe I am the reason that things were sometime a bit strained, I can handle that. I like to sleep uninterrupted and I like to be able to walk around naked. Neither of these things are conducive whilst sharing a room with others. Also travelling with others I was less inclined to go out and meet new people (well actually thats not totally true I just didnt meet as many as I did last time) I think when you have people to turn to as a safety net it doesnt push you outside your boundaries

You cant believe everything you hear - Whilst I have always been aware of this one, I think that other people need to possibly be aware of this. And we will just leave that one there... but if people read this, if you have a question about something, Ask me, dont take second hand gossip. Please.

Saying WIN after a smart remark means Game over - I would like to credit Darren and Brendan for this one. Whilst slinging mum jokes (or any kind of joke) at each other, they would instantly be silenced when the other one yelled WIN after a comment. I like the cockiness that this entails, like you know you cant possibly do a better more awesome joke so you call it before the other person gets a chance

As a West Aussie, cold really isnt in my vocabulary - I was going to say that I shall not complain about the cold again but thats a lie and I know that I will, but I have experienced a different kind of cold and when its as cold during the day as what we get on a winters night we really have nothing to complain about. Possibly its my albino blood that makes me feel chilled more than the normal human. And really autumn isnt even that cold, I am just a little la la

I am counting down the days to I am back through all that was bad and all that was good there is a desire in me to get back amongst it. I need to go back to prove to myself that I am the awesome drift king that I am in my head. I have just recently purchased back my Stella so April Matsuri is out but August and November, well i am all over that. Every time my excitement fades I watch another video or look at some photos and its back on. Really there is nothing like this in the world... and I really dont want to miss out on that

So that was Japan, it was good, it was bad, it was a learning curve and it was for me...

And to get you excited... here are a few little videos of what you missed out on
